Mars is 141.6 million miles from the Sun.  Mars has 687 days in a year. Its average tempature is -81 ℉. Earth's average tempature it is 57 ℉. Mars atmosphere is made of mostly crabon dioxide and water vapor. Mars has 2 moons, Phobos and Deimos. On Mars, there is 62.5% less gravity than  Earth. When on Mars the gravity difference allowes you to jump three times higher then on Earth.  Mars is named after the Roman god of war.  There have been pieces of Mars found on Earth. Out of all the 39 attempted missions to Mars, only 16 have been successful. The tallest mountain known to our solar system is on Mars, it's name is Olympus Mon. Mars is known to have the largest dust storms in the solar system as well. When you look at the sun from Mars it looks two times smaller then it does from Earth. Mars is the second most habitable planet in our solar system. It also has seasons just like Earth! But the seasons last twice as long as Earth's do becasue its year is twice as long. Mars equatioral diameter is 4220.4 miles. Mars surface temperature is anywhere from -243.4℉  to 68℉. One day Mars will also have a ring like Saturn.
